A bright morning with a fresh west south west wind greeted observers who were less than optimistic about the day. However, the wind picked up and there was plenty of activity on the sea with highlights being 20+ Gannets, 3 Red-throated Divers, 25 Little Gulls, 4 Razorbill, 20+ Guillemot and a Sandwich Tern.

However, the highlight of the day was a first year Iceland Gull found near the seal haul-out on the West Hoyle bank as the tide dropped, it flew further along the bank and landed again allowing everyone good scope views before flying out of the estuary off the West Side. Photo opportunities were not good - apologies for the very poor record shots below. Spot the Iceland Gull...

Very little on the ground (1 Goldcrest), but a single Wren was a new bird caught. Overhead 3 Sand Martins and a single Swallow reminded observers it was supposed to be spring!
