Weather E force 1/2, later SE with rain
It was unexpectedly dry for a period this morning and the wind veered to the south east about 09.30hrs dropping in 3 Willow Warblers, a Chiffchaff and a Grasshopper Warbler which soon disappeared and failed to be caught for ringing.

  The only Wheatears were 2 on Middle Eye, likewise there were only 2 White Wagtails and Swallows were in small numbers, about 30 seen this morning.

There is a lot of interest at the moment in waders as many are now passing through on the shore, some in splendid summer plumage, counts today included 2,000 Dunlin, 200 Ringed Plover, 80 Grey Plover flying south and 22 Whimbrel and a Bar-tailed Godwit around the islands.
