Weather: WSW force 4, veering NW 8 by evening 
A quiet day with a lot of squalls, a Woodpigeon came through
early on and a few wagtails moved over, a couple of Chiffchaffs and a few Goldcrests laid
low but one of each were ringed. Despite the windy conditions a couple of Swallows came through the islands. Linnets and Goldfinches were active most
of the morning and a mixed flock flew around for an hour or so, the Goldfinches
moving off to leave the island Linnets to sing to each other!
