A brief visit this morning before the tide flooded found a small fall of about a dozen Willow Warblers on the island but the only large warbler to be found was a Sedge Warbler that became the first to be ringed here this year (left).A couple of Redpolls came down in the obs garden and a Siskin flew by and later a Wheatear appeared at the south end.
Several Swallows were hawking over the top paddock and they were joined by 3 Sand Martins and 4 House Martins feeding with them for a while low over the grass.
The remaining Brent still shows around the rocks.
Nine Common Terns were fishing close in to the west side (below).
