Weather: SE force 4
Expectations were raised by the forecast of a south easterly but in the event very little arrived but a very cold south easterly wind. A Chiffchaff was caught first thing.
There were no Goldcrests, just 2 Wheatears and a couple of
Goldfinches were the sum total of other small migrants. Two Grey-lag Geese sat on the whaleback first thing and flew off down the Dee. Only about 50
Brent were seen but others may have been sheltering from the cold wind.
Four Bar-tailed Godwits were the best of the waders.
Ringed: 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Meadow Pipit [ 48-9 ]
