The first Spotted Flycatcher of the spring was found at the south end of the island, sheltering near the cliff overhang, it was seen to fly north up the island but unfortunately was not found again. It was again surprising that several migrants made it in during the damp weather. Todays arrivals were 6 Willow Warblers, 2 Whitethroats, 2 Wheatears, a Skylark and of course the Spotted Flycatcher.
A few waders were noted including 600 Oystercatchers, 9 Whimbrel, 100 Dunlin and 22 Ringed Plovers.
