A brief lunchtime visit produced the drake Eider present off the east side in the ebbing gutter and later sat preening on rocks presumably out of the rather cold west south westerly wind.
Large numbers of gulls were present on the tide edge of the East Hoyle sandbank but no white-wingers could be found.
