Weather: SW force 6 moderating to SSW 4 by midday
Very wet and windy start to the day with a few Whimbrel (8), Curlew (19) and Ringed Plover (42) around the islands, there were 3 Little Egrets, 2 Grey Heron on the shore and a few Swallows passing through. Lots of gulls on the banks along with Sandwich Terns and a stunning summer plumaged Black-tailed Godwit. A Red Admiral was struggling to dry out and a Green-veined White fed around the paddock.
