6th September 2023

 Weather:  SE force 4     light mist

 A quiet day all told. Three Snipe flew over the islands early on.

 

Then 2 Goosanders flew closely passed the island.

 

 

There was just a solitary Willow Warbler on the island but 4 Wheatears showed around their preferred areas.

 

Three Eiders are still here.

  Waders noted were 120 Dunlin, 85 Ringed Plover, 3 Whimbrel and 45 Curlew.

Sandwich Tern numbers are now declining just 15 today although 60 Common Terns were seen. Peaking again in high numbers are Little Egrets, 14 here today along with 2 Grey Herons and the Kestrel. It was another Red Admiral day, 90 arrived on the island.
