 Weather: S force 1, slight mist ,  SSE 1/3 in the afternoon with fog in the estuary itself.

 There was a light mist early morning and a total of 8 Skylark passed over, 7 Goldcrest were in the Blackthorn and a Reed Bunting down by the Heli trap.

 

  Linnet numbered 24, Goldfinch 4 and 2 Chaffinch visited the island.

 As the tide made the mist turned to fog but only brought down 2 Chiffchaff and a Song Thrush.

 

Quite a few groups of Pink-footed Geese were heard but not seen in the fog although a small group of 9 did break through to get themselves recorded.

 A juvenile Dark-bellied Brent was amongst the 220 Pale- bellied counted today.

 

Also present were 2 Red-breasted Merganers, a Goosander, a male Eider, 9 Little Egrets, and 3 Grey Herons. Waders included 14 Bar-tailed Godwits, 15 Ringed and 9 Grey Plover, while 5 Pied and 1 Grey Wagtail were recorded. Three large Common Frogs were in the garden of Telegraph house.
