A pleasant walk on and off the islands but very little present.

A single drake Common Scoter was sat by the South End of Middle (see below, TGW).


However, Bar-tailed Godwits remain in good numbers around the gutter edge and along the East Hoyle sandbank.


Highlight of the morning was found when observers approached the salt marsh between Red Rocks and West Kirby when a Lapland Bunting flew up calling before alighting back in the marsh towards the West Kirby end.
