Weather: NW force 2/3
Two hundred and ten Brent are still around the islands. Twenty four Purple Sandpipers were gathered, feeding near the obs after the tide. Other waders included 8 Grey Plovers, 4 Bar-tailed Godwits, 100 Dunlin, 80 Redshank, 120 Turnstone and 185 Knot.
On a fairly calm sea were 2 Great Crested Grebes and 350 Common Scoter. Noticed around the island were 2 Rock Pipits, 2 Blackbirds, 4 Robins and 4 Wrens. Our old friend the Kestrel was out in the sunshine.
The Daffodils gave us reassurance that the spring cannot far away.
