A trip to the islands on gale force winds to check on any damage over the last 2 days found an adult Pomerine Skua flying west off the north end. Others found in the difficult conditions were 7 Eiders, a Common Scoter, a Red-breasted Merganser, a Chaffinch, and 2 Bar-tailed Godwits.
