11th April 2021

 Weather:   light air, mist

The Pinkfeet streamed out of the estuary early morning again, this time 850 all told. A calm sea produced surprisingly good records; 21 Little Gull, 2 Razorbill, 34 Great crested Grebes, 26 Sandwich Terns, 2 Red-breasted Mergansers and a Gannet. No warblers this morning and only single Siskin and Goldfinch but 3 Wheatears were on the ground in compensation.

Amongst the waders 350 Sanderling was a good number, also 52 Turnstone and 30 Ringed Plover. The Eider was still here with single Little Egret and Kestrel present.

Some of the breeding Linnets are now in fine plumage.
