Weather: SW force 4/5 showers later
A pre-tide visit turned out to be quiet as expected. A single Chiffchaff, 6 Meadow Pipits and a Pied Wagtail were the only small birds on show and a Peregrine was the one of the highlights.
Waders seen included 15 Bar-tailed Godwits, 38 Turnstone and 45 Redshank, and others on the shore were 3 Litle Egrets and 5 Grey Herons. .
The lower temperature and the presence of a flock of 7 Wigeon made it seem like autumn proper today.
Just one male Eider this morning. At least 45 Sandwich Terns are still here. Some butterflies still thought the summer may not be finished yet, there were still 12 Red Admirals, a Comma,
