12th September 2025

 Weather: WSW force 4

A visit of just a  couple of hours before the tide flooded was quiet as expected. A Razorbill was briefly on the sea off the north end before flying west.

The drake Eider was still here with 4 Little Egret, 6 Grey Herons on middle, 4 Shelduck and 25 Scoter out to sea. There were only 22 Sandwich Terns seen today. A Grey Wagtail came through as did a few Meadow Pipits.

Waders counted today: 7,500 Oyustercatchers, 120 Curlew, 88 Ringed Plover, 11 Grey Plover, 11 Bar-tailed Godwits, 20 Knot, 45 Turnstones and 35 Redshank. Just a couple of Red Admirals this morning.
