2nd August 2020

Weather: W force 5/6
A small passage this morning despite the fresh westerly. Two Wheaters and 2 Willow Warblers made it to the island.
Also a Sand Martin added variety to the local breeding Swallows.
Just a single Gannet was blown in view, but good sightings were 11 Little Tern and 9 Arctic Terns, while the Sandwich Terns showed well in the roost, many feeding young.
A good list of waders included 4 Whimbrel, 800 each of Knot and Dunlin, 60 Sanderling and single Bar-tailed Godwit.
Both Kestrel and Peregrine were seen, and at least 20 Linnets are about the island.
Our photographer managed these lovely shots of bees at work.
Ringed: 1 Willow Warbler
