Weather: SW force 3, NW 3/4 by noon, then SW late evening with drizzle
A good arrival of about a dozen Greenland Wheatears were in early morning half light but they fed and movely on rapidly.
No warblers today but hirundines came through with 77 Swallows, 4 Sand and 3 House Martins. Five White Wagtails were typical spring migrants at this time, 16 Goldfinches are a more recent event reflecting the now widespread distribution on the mainland. Up to 40 Whimbrel were present, also 6 Ringed Plover, about 200 Knot and 1,000 Dunlin feeding.
A pair of Eider and an out of season Teal were off shore as were 4 each of Great Crested Grebe and Guillemot. A Raven was chased down the island by gulls.Breeding male Linnets are still singing in the paddocks.
