 Weather: W force 3/4,  later SW 2/3

 

Over 2,000 Cormorant left the estuary at first light and there were 2,500 Dunlin plus 800 Knot around Little Eye along with good numbers of Oystercatcher on the reef and around Tanskeys. Only 4 Eider were in the gutter east of Middle but the 5th joined them later.

 Also east of Middle at the Gutter's edge were 94 Ringed Plover and 8 Grey Plover, 3 Bar-tailed Godwit were further out.

 

 Only 6 Purple Sandpiper were noted, once they left the roost at the North End they moved to feed below the obs. A Reed Bunting was down on Middle and a second later flew over the main island. At dusk a Mute Swan flew west over the island and 2 Raven flew down the west side. Despite the westerly 2 Skylarks and 18 Starlings put in an appearance. Out to sea were 10 Gannets, 8 Common Scoter and a Red-throated Diver. Brent were estimated at 280 today.
