Weather: WSW force 1/2, SW 1/2 in the afternoon
In line with recent days there were 2 Chiffchaffs and 4 Goldcrests on the ground, 2 Reed Buntings and 5 Skylarks recorded, new however were dozens of Siskins calling overhead and 2 Magpies on the island, one of which was caught for ringing. A Dunnock was noted, the first for some time, also 3 Pied Wagtails and 2 Starlings.
The best of the waders were 11 Bar-tailed Godwits, 12 Sanderling and 146 Redshank. Seven Eiders were about the shore. The Kestrel was still here and the only butterflies were one Red Admiral and a Small Heath.
