Weather: SE force 4/5 rain
As yesterday there were no warblers in the morning but today a couple of Willow Warblers and a couple of Robins arrived between rain fronts.
A Wheatear was present and another 4 also liked the conditions in the early afternoon and turned up at the same time.
At the high tide many terns gathered on the west hoyle and at a small roost west of Little Eye: Sandwich Terns 350, Common Terns 105 and Little Terns 26. On the sea 75 Gannets fed and 80 Common Scoter were distantly seen. A Shag was at the north end. On the shore was just a single Grey Heron and a big count of 21 Little Egrets fed.
Oystercatchers peaked at 11,000 south west of Middle and at Tanskies. Other waders were 145 Curlew, 4 Whimbrel, 45 Ringed Plover, 42 Redshank, 26 Turnstones and a single Bar-tailed Godwit. The Kestrel was still here. A Grey seal with it's young were sat out on the rocks, an unusual sight at Hilbre.
Still a few Red Admirals around, 8 today, plus a Small Tortoiseshell.
Ringed: 2 Willow Warblers, 2 Robins.
