 Weather: WSW force 4     slight mist

 Another Marsh Harrier came through this morning travelling from Little Eyre over the reef to Middle and off towards Wales.




 

The westerly only produced a few passing birds, 4 White Wagtails, 4 Goldfinches and a passage of 26 Swallows, a Willow Warbler and 2 Chiffchaffs.

A fresh breeze made the sea watchable with 40 Common Scoter, a Guillemot, 2 Razorbills (one in summer plumage), a Red-breasted Merganser, a Great Crested Grebe and 95 Sandwich Terns.



Brent are still at around 150 individuals, while others close in were 4 Eiders (2males), 

 

Eighteen Ringed Plover and a single Grey Plover were noted also 120 Redshank and 60 Turnstone and 20 Dunlin. Around the island were 8 Shelduck and 3 Little Egrets. A Kestrel flew west later in the afternoon.
