Weather: E force 3/4 veering SE then WNW 5  rain showers, some heavy around midday

The first 'round' of the morning produced just 4 Willow Warbler, a Whitethroat and 10 Blackbirds but after the rainy squalls  at least 18 Willow Warbler were around the island. As soon as the rain stopped they all had a good preen and left.

One hundred and fifty two Curlew were counted and a few of the 35 Redshank recorded and 6 Whimbrel roosted in Niffy Bay.

Also in Niffy bay were 5 Turnstone.

Other waders today were 88 Ringed Plover, 60 Dunlin and a Bar-tailed Godwit. After the tide 2 Raven played on the thermals on the west of Middle Eye. Five Shelduck flew into the estuary to the east of the island.
