Weather: WSW force 4, backing SW 6 relatively mild
Waders on the rising tide were 2,500 Knot and 200 Dunlin
Twenty Grey Plover, 65 Turnstone, 5 Purple Sandpiper, a Bar-tailed Godwit and 25 Redshank also featured around the island.
Only a single Eider was seen this morning but there were 3 Goosanders and a pair of Pintails floating off the east hoyle.
A Sparrowhawk flew about the island, a nice change from the Kestrel and the occasional Peregrine.
A Common seal was on the rocks at the north end of Middle. Visitors should be wary of approaching seals on the island as they can be aggressive when they feel theatened.
Sea birds noted were 150 Common Scoter and 5 Great Crested Grebe.
