Weather: SW 2 vis 20 mls

Migrants continue to trickle through , with a couple of Goldcrest calling around the obs garden and 2 Reed Bunting landing there briefly. A Chaffinch and 2 Starling passed overhead, at least 3 Blackbird and 2 Song Thrush were in the gardens with 2 Rock Pipit still about at the north end.
On the sea were 1400 Common Scoter, 10 Great Crested Grebe and a single Guillemot, with 11 Eider and a male Red Breasted Merganser off the north end.
Brent Geese have increased to 283 (including a colour ringed bird P7YB) , it’s impressive how they know when the lagoon is clearing of the tide, and fly in.
Three Purple Sandpiper were present and a group of 27 Ringed Plover roosted on the west side. Other waders noted include 7 Bar Tailed Godwit, 36 Dunlin, 97 Turnstone and singles of both Knot and Grey Plover.
The Kestrel was present and a Peregrine disturbed the high tide roost of Oystercatcher.
