4th June 2021

Weather: SW force 3 then veering N and NNE during the day

A quiet day when Rock Pipits, Linnets, and Blackbirds were all active with their young and the Whitethroat was still singing. Two Canada Geese viisted, 32 Shelduck were noted and the Eiders were present.

Three Little Egrets, a Grey Heron and a Kestrel were all about. The Kestrel was dealing with an island Short-tailed Field vole.

The present weather is ideal for moth trapping, among the species this morning were Rustics shoulder knot and Pale shouldered Brocade

 Another lovely sunset tonight.
