Weather: NNE force 1 backing NNW
A quiet morning on the island. A female Wheatear was here also 2 Whitethroats, and a Greenshank was around the gutters. Little Terns numbered 57 among 600 or so Sandwich Terns. Among the good numbers of waders logged were 37 Bar-tailed Godwit and 6 visiting Black-tailed Godwits. Both Kestrel and Peregrine were seen and 7 Eiders noted. A Migrant hawker dragonfly was the best of the insects today but there was also a Painted Lady, 2 Red Admiral, 4 Small White and a Common Blue.
