1st October 2022

 Weather:  WSW force 6, sunny

A very brief visit before the tide this morning discovered a Goldcrest in the obs garden but no other new birds had arrived this morning. There was no sign of the Merlin of recent days but a Peregrine gave a good show.

Several dozen Common Scoter were flying around out to sea, 3 Sandwich Terns flew west and a Guillemot was close to the island in the gutter.

There were 45 Greater Black-backed Gulls, 6 Lesser and over 500 Herring Gulls, some waders logged were 245 Curlew, 22 Turnstone, 32 Redshank, at least 6 Little Egret were in the area.
