Weather: NW force 2
A late afternoon arrival found a Willow Warbler still singing on the island, but it refused to be caught for ringing. There was still time for 6 each of Rock and Meadow Pipit to be logged, also little Egret and Grey Heron.
Waders included 800 Dunlin, 8 Turnstone and a Ringed Plover. Interesting insects seen today were Sandpit Bees (andrena haemorrhoa) which nest towards the north end of the island.
From the moth trap were Netted Pug, Scorched Carpet and Common Swift (in that order)
