The wind is in the south east at last and immediately brought in 5 Chiffchaffs (right), a Blackcap, a fewGoldcrests, 2 Blackbirds, 2 Grey Wagtails and the first 3 Skylarks of the autumn. A Common Snipe was about early on and later a Great Northern Diver and a drake Eider flew passed the island (below). Thirty two Sandwich Terns were a good amount for so late in the autumn, other sea birds included 4 Gannets and 4 Common Scoter.
