2nd May 2015

Weather: ESE 4-5, 8/8 cloud, slight drizzle at 630am

A single Tree Pipit buzzed overhead and Whimbrel could be heard whistling but it didn't feel like May in the cold easterly wind.

Some drops of rain and then slight drizzle  just aft 630am raised observer expectations but these were dashed somewhat when a male Whitethroat was found to be yesterday's bird.

Nevertheless the morning did produce a new bird with only our second Sedge Warbler of the spring found in the Obs garden before presumably the same bird was caught in the Heli trap and ringed and released at the Obs.

A single Greenland Wheatear battled it way down the ridge (between Middle and Little) against the wind before taking some shelter on Little Eye.
