Weather: E force 5/6
It is not often we are surprised by a squirrel looking at us from the old life boat station at the north end. We have had other visits in the past but it is rare enough to make it the headline of the day.
There was a splendid couple of male Wheatears present but no warblers today. About 12 Swallows were around the island. Ringed Plover and Turnstone showed and in addition to the 24 Curlew, a good number (10) of Whimbrel was more than the last few weeks.
A Robin was here,
and among the regulars 6 Wrens,
and 6 Rock Pipits including a colour ringed bird from our own ringing scheme.
