 Weather: SE force 4  veering SW 6 later

 A Black Tern flew west after the tide and 3 Little Tern were amongst the distant roost on the East Hoyle

Sandwich Terns were estimated at about 500 with 70 Common Terns. Twenty two Gannets fed offshore. Despite a promising south east wind there were only 4 Willow Warbler seen, plus a Chiffchaff  which stayed hidden in the Obs garden but was singing. The Song Thrush was still about along with 16 Swallows, 6 Meadow Pipit and 4 Rock Pipit were also noted.

Linnet numbers are much lower now with only 13 counted.

 

The male Eider and 13 Little Egrets were notable, while waders logged were 6 Whimbrel, 176 Curlew, 32 Turnstone, 11 Ringed Plover, 2 Bar-tailed Godwits and 3 Sanderling.
