Weather: SW force 6  decreasing W 4


It was more of a work day on the island so not too much to report, however there were 3 Willow Warblers to be seen which turned out to be the only small migrants on the island today. The Shag was on rthe rocks at the north end and the Eider was in the same area just off the whaleback.

Waders are building up now, 1,320 Dunlin and 112 Ringed Plover, 138 Curlew, 4 Whimbrel and 2 Bar-tailed Godwits were noted. A Kestrel hunted the island and 4 Gannets stood out over the sea while 2 Grey Herons and 14 Little Egrets were around the shore.

 

 Butterflies amking the list were 6 Red Admirals, 3 Small Whites and a Comma.
