Weather: NW force 2, misty with slight drizzle
A brief afternoon visit on a day when the wind turned towards the north west recorded 4 Redwings and a Chiffchaff, although it was a surprise to find 2 Goldcrests on the island, both of which were then ringed, it has been noticed over the years that Goldcrests can often arrive here when other migrants find a north westerly totally unsuitable.
Logged this afternoon were 20 Meadow Pipits, 6 Rock Pipits, 300 Scoter, 8 Great Crested Grebes, 2 Little Egrets and a Grey Heron.
Ringed: 2 Goldcrests
