Weather: W force 2, later NW 3/4
The first few bird movements of spring were seen this morning with a Stonechat on Middle Eye (found by visiting birder Tom Kinch), also 2 Grey Wagtails on the main island was a new species for the year. As we approach the nesting season 8 Meadow Pipits and at least 5 Wrens and a pair of Blackbirds were noted on the island today. Also today 50 Common Scoter, 2 Great Crested Grebes, a Grey Heron on the main pond and 7 Purple Sandpipers. Two Harbour Porpoise were off the north end of the island.
