9th August 2017

Weather: N force 4/5
A breezy north wind and rain overnight guaranteed no migrants on the ground, although a Wheatear appeared mid-morning near the north end and a Willow Warbler also appeared. A couple of Swifts flew through east between the islands. Small waders seemed fewer this morning as the tide flooded with just the odd Ringed Plover and a few hundred Dunlin present.
Whimbrel (at least 2) and Curlew (over a dozen) were noticed, also about 250 Sandwich Terns.
Ringed: 1 Meadow Pipit       [ 428-32 ]
