Weather: SSE force 2, N 2 in the afternoon
A pleasent day at the obs with a juvenile Stonechat present, a Wheatear along the west side, a first summer Mediterranean Gull, a Whitethroat present and a single Willow Warbler ringed.
Three Sand Martins also passed through while shorebirds included 11 Little Egrets, 3 Grey Herons, 3 Whimbrel and a summer plumaged Bar-tailed Godwit. Sandwich Terns were counted at 480 with 12 Common Terns. Eight Common Blues were the most numerous of the butterflies with a Small Tortoiseshell and 2 Red Admirals. A male Kestrel hunted the island.
