Weather: SW force 3, rain early
The first Redwing of the autumn was heard in the evening calling as it flew over the shore. earlier migrants were scarce with just a single Wheatear, Chiffchaff, male Blackbird and a few Robins present. A Merlin was the only raptor noted. Only 18 Brent could be counted today, also 32 Shelduck, while others logged were 300 Cormorants, 100 Common Scoter, 2 Little Egrets, 2 Grey Plovers and 15 Bar-tailed Godwits and a single Red-breasted Merganser, 38 Turnstone and 2 Rock Pipits.
The Magpie showed up again and a Red Admiral was the only butterfly.
