Weather: SW force 4
The highlight of a bright and breezy but fairly quiet day was a Snow Bunting that flew over the obs heading south at about 11.00. Other migrants were also mainly seed eaters such as 2 Chaffinches, 6 Goldfinches and 4 Siskin. A pair of Wigeon were by Middle and then drifted out of the river with the tide, and a Red-breasted Merganser flew west towards Wales. The count today of Purple Sandpipers today numbered 12. There were 8 Shelduck and 2 Great Crested Grebes.
