 Weather: NW force 3

 The 320 or so Brent were joined by 18 Wigeon preening on the tide edge west of the lagoon then drifting up the estuary along with the female Eider.

Ahead of the tide 93 Grey Plover were feeding to the west of Little Eye and 5 Canada Geese added to the wildfowl mix after they had landed on the sands east of Hilbre where they were heard calling from the obs.

Eighteen Wigeon were noticed preening on the tide edge west of the lagoon, then drifting up the estuary along with the female Eider.  On the ebb a pair of Goosander  fed in the lagoon until disturbed by the first visitors, while 240 Sanderling were busy feeding at the tide edge. Nineteen Purple Sandpipers and 104 Turnstone had been noted at high tide.

 Many of the residents are now in good voice including Meadow Pipits, a Blackbird and 2 Robins.
