Weather: W force 4, WSW 4 in the afternoon
The North End was checked a few times for yesterdays Slavonian Grebe to no avail, but then it turned up on the east side of the island on the ebb, a similar time to yesterday. The photo was taken from the Obs garden.
Floating in with the tide were 2 of the 4 Eider noted today, the others remained at the North End.
Also in the gutter were a male and 3 female Goosander
Five Bar-tailed Godwit were on the East Hoyle early but
didn't stay long, 460 Grey Plover were counted west of Little Eye early
morning. Five thousand Oystercatcher were counted, a more common bird with a red eye than the Slavonian Grebe.
