Weather: N force 5/6, NW
A bitterly cold day with a wind chill of -3 , the North End was not a pleasant place to be with only a few of the 6,700 Oystercatcher that were recorded today flying by.
A male Goosander was reported in the Lagoon by a visitor (GM} , 3 Eider and 9 Scoter were also around the islands.
In addition to the 4,500 Knot and 2,000 seen, also present were 6 Bar-tailed Godwits and 28 Sanderling. It was good to see 120 Turnstone roosting in an area that they have not been seen to use for a few years, just 3 Purple Sandpiper were with them.
The Kestrel showed well for the camera.
