Weather: N force 3
A fine sunrise on a mostly dry and sunny day.
The island pond and surroundings are thoroughly soaked, as everywhere else has been.
There was a nice selection of waders seen on the way out to the island, Grey Plover, Dunlin Redshank and Curlew mainly.
One dark bellied was identified with 420 Brent this morning.
Six Shelduck, an Eider, 8 Common Scoter and a pair of Goosanders were the only other wildfowl today.
Some waders that drew attention were 1,200 Dunlin, 25 Sanderling and a Bar-tailed Godwit. For a change there was a visiting passerine in the form of a Skylark, regulars seen were 2 Meadow Pipits and 3 Rock Pipits.
