Unsurprisingly not many migrants today in a westerly gale with only single White Wagtail and Goldfinch over. However, sea-watching was better with good numbers of usual seabirds (Gannets, auks, grebes and divers) as well as 4 Little Gulls and the highlight of the day a pair of Velvet Scoters flew past the North End; a scarce bird at Hilbre.
The semi-resident Merlin was also still present.
