6th April 2011
No grounded migrants today and the passage birds consisted of only 2 Sand Martins, 2 Swallows, 23 Meadow Pipits in small groups and a flock of 23 Goldfinches. Including Middle Eye there were 5 Wrens singing on territory and 13 Linnets being very active. One of the linnets was ringed and was found to be a male born last year. There only seem to be about 50 Brent still about the islands, at least that was the number seen to be retreating before the tide with the Oystercatchers. Ringed :- 1 Linnet (DB,JE) [128-26] photos JE
