The highlight today however were the first Swifts of the year over the island (which is a little later than normal), 4 appeared in the morning and 2 others later in the afternoon. Also about were 2 Sedge Warblers, a Whitethroat, a Wheatear and 17 Willow Warblers during the day. Two hundred Sandwich Terns and 76 Common Terns were on the sea with 18 Common Scoters, while nearer to hand were 26 Whimbrel, a Common Sandpiper also the appearance of a Woodpigeon.
Ringing: Willow Warblers (9) Sedge Warbler (2) [492-28]
