Weather: E force 1/2
The first osprey of the year was found flying over Middle Eye heading in an easterly direction. Another first for the island this year was a Tree Pipit, a scarce migrant passing through at this time.
A Short-eared Owl was another good record.
Eight Willow Warblers and a Chiffchaff were on the island, also 2 White Wagtails and a Wheatear, while passing through were 7 Sand Martins, 5 Swallows and a small passage of Meadow Pipits.The only finches apart from the 16 Linnets were 3 Redpolls, 2 Goldfinches and a Siskin. On the sea 11 Little Gulls were the highlight with supporting cast of  11 Gannets, 18 Great Crested Grebes, 8 Red-breasted Mergansers and a Red-throated Diver. Six Little Egrets and 5 Eiders (3 males) were noted.
Ringed: 6 Willow Warblers, 1 Chiffchaff.        [ 169-18 ]
