Weather: ENE force 2, later backing WNW and then NNE

 A single Song Thrush was noted, sitting on the Obs fence at dawn.

 The 3 regular Eider were joined by a second adult male today while 1500 Common Scoter were out by the windfarm with a handful staying around the islands.

A couple of Guillemots were also noted on the sea. A Peregrine chased waders over the shore but was unsuccessful and flew towards Hoylake.

Curlew wrere counted at 253, Turnstone 45 and 12 Purple Sandpipers roosted on the rocks


Oystercatchers are to some extent present all the year round and they always find something to feed on.

 

In addition to the resident passerines a single Skylark was a visitor today.
