8th March 2016

Weather: NW 2, some drizzle

Two Song Thrushes were ringed today (above left SRW), they are probably the 2 that have been seen here this winter. Two Dunnocks were singing on the main island (above CJ) out of the possible 6 that were present, but still no sign of any spring migrants - a change of weather and things could move rapidly now. The only sea birds recorded in this short visit were 2 Red-breasted Mergansers and 4 Common Scoter. Two Little Egrets were south of the islands.
Ringed: 2 Song Thrushes      [ 3-2 ]
